They are contractors and suppliers so it is pleasing to know and to have heard that this company will also be in a timely way processing documents that are necessary for our contractors…This business is coming at a crucial time, the economy is not as it once was but I know for sure that there is tremendous potential for growth and development. We strongly believe that this business will add to the competitiveness and will provide job creation. Having read the banner, it says “enduring service, trust and protection”.Ramdatt noted that while agriculture is important and will remain important to Essequibo, the county is looking to build tourism. Also delivering brief remarks, Head of the Essequibo Chamber of Commerce (ECC), Sueann Sewnarine encouraged businesses in the county to get acquainted with the insurance company and to benefit from their “top-notch” services. She welcomed the group to Essequibo and urged the company to continue working to further develop the county.“As the key advocacy body for business on the Essequibo Coast, we stand supported with Diamond Insurance and will certainly welcome the group as a member of the ECC as we collectively work towards development in this region…This initiative by your company is commendable as the group seeks to branch off its operation outside of the Region Four district. Certainly, this move will see greater competition on the Essequibo Coast and allow for citizens to benefit from a top-notch insurance company, something the ECC always appreciate and we must always strive on raising our standards” Sewnarine said.Diamond Insurance has been in existence for over 20 years and has branches at Lamaha Street, Queenstown, Georgetown; Port Mourant, Corentyne, Berbice; Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice; West Public Road, Corentyne Berbice.
